Crawling reflex assessment and demonstration in an infant / newborn, also known as the Bauer crawling reflex. When babies are born, they generally have reflex responses. • In this video, Nurse Sarah assesses the crawling reflex in an infant. This reflex occurs when the infant is placed on its stomach and pressure from the hand is applied to the sole of the foot. • If the reflex is present, the infant will automatically press against the hand and begin to imitate a crawling motion in the limbs. • This reflex will generally go away within a few weeks or months, and the infant will eventually learn to crawl on its own. • *Quiz*: https://www.registerednursern.com/new... • *Notes*: https://www.registerednursern.com/new... • More Assessments:    • Nursing Head-to-Toe Assessment   • Website: https://www.registerednursern.com/ • More Videos:    • Dopamine IV Drip Calculation   Nursin...   • Nursing Gear: https://teespring.com/stores/register... • Instagram:   / registerednursern_com   • Facebook:   / registerednurserns   • Twitter:   / nursesrn   • • Popular Playlists: • • NCLEX Reviews:    • NCLEX Study Strategies   • Fluid Electrolytes:    • Fluid and Electrolytes Nursing   • Nursing Skills:    • Nursing Skills Videos
