Replacing a quartz • movement on a family heirloom is quite simple. Put the rubber washer on the shaft and put the shaft through the mounting hole. • The next step is to install a brass washer and then a brass hex nut. • We are going to tighten the brass hex nut hand tight and now a quarter of a turn.
