Traditional South African Bobotie at home

Bobotie is a traditional South African dish, although its origins could be as far back as Ancient Rome! It is a simple comfort dish, using a blend of spices and curry with ground beef, bread, carrots and a milk and egg mixture baked on top. This dish is not spicy, but has a depth and complexity of flavours, served on a yellow rice recipe, and I always have a side of a fruit chutney when I eat this dish. Like all the dishes I prepare, this dish allows you to add or remove things to taste, so share your experience with me when you try it! • • Chapters: • 0:00 Introduction • 0:08 Opening • 1:09 Influences and Ingredients • 2:02 Method and Create • 5:55 Yellow Rice • 7:39 Experience • • • Did you try this recipe?
