I washed it off after an hour or two later. I applied it once on day two as well. For those interested, Platinum Skincare sells a peel booster of high strength retinol to be used in this same way (but I had my own so I used what I had). Also, it is so important to use something to prevent post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
