I go through the process of programming an ESP32 when it is not on a dev module. I use a CP2102 to program my custom ESP32 module. This way you can make your own Wifi enabled projects much easier, and they run much better on a custom circuit board than on a breadboard. This is a part of my apartment automation project, more on that to come. • I felt this process was not well documented on YouTube, or at least the hardships of it.
