Day Four! Today we attempt to push further on a portrait of a painter that pushed pretty much as far as you humanly can - Vuillard. By now, four days into this endeavor, I've embraced the fact that this week is a bit of a sisyphean task. My experience and my ability have obvious parameters and I have to accept that for me to expand those boundaries, five paintings is not nearly enough (now, if our painted lives could be a SEVEN paintings a week project, we'd be having a totally different conversation!) To make this undertaking more manageable, I've decided to concentrate on shapes. Simple shapes. (cue Holst) Behold!
