Every year we help our friends who keep some turkeys for Christmas. Dry plucking turkeys in a dark shed in December isn't really the nicest job in the world but we all get stuck in and it gets done soon enough. There's a right way and a wrong way to do the plucking and this video aims to help you get things right if you're doing your own. • Of course some use fancy machines, or they wet-pluck (dunking them in hot water first), but this is the traditional dry-plucking way which works very well if you don't hang about and if you do things in the right order. • These are organic, free-range turkeys from the O'Flynn family farm in the Borlin Valley in West Cork. Thanks to them for plenty of good food and hot drinks and thanks to Fred La Haye for the singing. • • Here's our online store where you can see some of the craft things we make and sell.. • http://www.wayoutwestemporium.com/ • and here's our Patreon page.. • https://www.patreon.com/user?u=276131... • • Copyright WayOutWest.
