Trail bikes- built for riding regular trails, at a rippin’ pace, but not necessarily built for massive hucks or setting KOMs on the local horsepower hill. That said, modern trail bikes can do SO MUCH- they climb amazingly well, and on the descent, are more capable than downhill bikes were just a couple decades ago.
