Repost @reefs2runes • Biota captive bred yellow (Zebrasoma flavescens) and blue tangs (Paracanthurus hepatus) in a reef tank. The yellow tang, Fruitloop, and the blue tang, Doofy, are over 2 years old and doing great! • We sure appreciate that we get to watch these fish children grow up on Instagram. If you have a Biota fish that you post on social media, please leave a comment so we can follow you! • People often ask what Fruitloop and Doofy eat to be this big and healthy. Reefs2runes says, Variety for sure! Nori offered every day, DKI pellets, LRS foods, Seaweed Extreme pellets, and I like to switch around with other herbivore-formulated frozen foods like Hikari, Ocean/Reef Nutrition, SFBB. I’ll mix in the occasional spirulina powder, and a couple times a week I go between Selcon VitaChem vitamin additives. I also can’t forget Masstick either! (Love how nutritionally packed it is plus allll the fish love it!) ☺️ • #instafish #biotaaquariums #captivebredfish #captivebredyellowtang #reeftank #captivebredbluetang
