Alright, so, the Impossible Geometry Socks have made it through testing, editing and are now, I'm thrilled to say, are available in my Web Shop, or as a download for Patrons! • Huge thanks to ‪@malabrigoyarn863‬ for helping bring these socks to life! • These socks were originally inspired by an Art Nouveau themed magazine call back in Summer 2021. After playing with various stitch swatches, what I got instead was a stitch pattern that reminded me more of the Impossible Geometry that is so prevalent in the works of M.C. Escher. • The Blocks Stitch Pattern is made with a combination of slipped stitches and one-over-four cables, this means that the leg and the top of the sock have far less stretch then the stocking stitch sole of the sock. • What will you need? • 1) Yarn: • You will need between 1 to 2 skeins of fingering-weight sock yarn (depending on size!) • 2) Needles • The socks use a 2.25 mm (US 1) circular needle, or you could use double-pointed needles too! • 3) Pattern: The pattern is available in my Web Shop (don't forget, if you're a Patron, you can download the pattern on Patreon) • Photography Credit: Stephanie Wallace • Additional pictures from Unsplash and Pixabay
