The Open System for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (OpenSees) is a software framework for simulating the seismic response of structural and geotechnical systems. The OpenSees Development team hosts a web-based learning series called Discovering OpenSees: Surfing the waves of OpenSees with tips and tricks for using the framework. • The seminar is being presented by Professor Asif Usmani from the BRE Center for Fire Safety Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. The seminar will present the new capabilities in OpenSees related to the modeling of structures subjected to fire that Professor Usmani and his group developed.
