Unboxing and reviewing Two and a Half Men: The Complete Series (2003-2015) on DVD, starring Charlie Sheen. • Available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00... • Two and a Half Men is currently not available on Blu-ray, only on DVD. This complete set contains all 12 seasons of the hit show. Released by Warner Bros and CBS. • The life of affluent, carefree jingle writer Charlie Harper (Charlie Sheen) is thrown off-kilter when his tightly wound chiropractor brother, Alan (Jon Cryer), and Alan's 10-year-old son, Jake (Angus T. Jones), come to live with him at his beach house indefinitely in the aftermath of Alan's failed marriage to Judith (Marin Hinkle). Charlie is an unabashed womanizer and Alan is insecure and unlucky in love. While as opposite as brothers can be, they're united in the fact that they each deal with dysfunction, courtesy of their overbearing mother, Evelyn (Holland Taylor), who drops in occasionally to remind them of how much they loathe her. Also dropping in (well, breaking in) is Charlie's head case of a neighbor and personal stalker, Rose (Melanie Lynskey), a one-night stand from his past who doesn't quite grasp the one-night concept. The ensemble is rounded out by Berta (Conchata Ferrell), Charlie's gruff housekeeper. Season 1 follows the brothers' adjustment to each other and the new situation, exemplified by two memorable episodes, one in which Charlie has to be a parent when Jake lets seagulls into the house; and another showing Alan's horror over Charlie's influence when Jake draws a tattoo he saw on one of Charlie's girlfriends. In a fun nod to Sheen's personal and professional lives, Denise Richards (Sheen's ex-wife) and Heather Locklear (a Spin City costar) appear in separate episodes. Other memorable guests include Teri Hatcher, Chris O'Donnell, and Jenna Elfman. • Two and a Half Men is an American television sitcom that began broadcast on CBS on September 22, 2003, and ended on February 19, 2015 after 12 seasons. Originally starring Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and Angus T. Jones, the series was about a hedonistic jingle writer, Charlie Harper; his uptight brother Alan; and Alan's son Jake. After Alan divorces, he moves with his son to share Charlie's beachfront Malibu house and complicates Charlie's freewheeling life. • In 2010, CBS and Warner Bros. Television reached a multiyear broadcast agreement for the series, renewing it through at least the 2011–12 season. On February 24, 2011, though, CBS and Warner Bros. decided to end production for the rest of the eighth season after Sheen entered drug rehabilitation and made disparaging comments about the series' creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre. Sheen's contract was terminated on March 7. Ashton Kutcher was hired to replace him the following season. • On April 26, 2013, CBS renewed the series for an 11th season after closing one-year deals with Kutcher and Cryer. Jones, who is attending college, was relegated to recurring status for season 11, but never made a single appearance until the series finale. He was replaced by Jenny (portrayed by Amber Tamblyn), Charlie's previously unknown daughter. Season 11 premiered on September 26, 2013. On March 13, 2014, CBS renewed the series for a 12th season, which CBS subsequently announced would be the final season. The season premiered on October 30, 2014 with the episode The Ol' Mexican Spinach and concluded on February 19, 2015, with the 40-minute finale Of Course He's Dead . The success of the series led to it being the fourth-highest revenue-generating program for 2012, earning $3.24 million an episode. • Some of the top Two and a Half Men episodes included are: • Baseball Was Better with Steroids • Fish in a Drawer • The Mooch at the Boo • Walnuts and Demerol • Three Girls and a Guy Named Bud • Good Morning, Mrs. Butterworth • A Sympathetic Crotch to Cry On • Lookin' for Japanese Subs • If They Do Go Either Way, They're Usually Fake • A Good Time in Central Africa • Help Daddy Find His Toenail • Creators: Lee Aronsohn, Chuck Lorre • Starring: Jon Cryer, Angus T.
