You can get some great pow if you're willing to navigate trees so tight your shoulders don't always fit through. The groomers can be as smooth as butter, or as hard and clear as ice cubes depending on the hour of the day. As the locals say, if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes. The warm days are cold as hell and the cold days colder, and when it does warms up you usually get some refreshing freezing rain. • None of this matters though, east coasters' feet and minds have adapted to navigating all all conditions with equal intuitive control. That's what makes it so much fun, and eastern skiers so damn good at skiing anything! More Olympic racers and park skiers come from the east than any other part of the U.S. Making something out of nothing is fun! Simple as that. • Geoff and Chris the owners of Ski The East are extensions of this way of thinking and skiing, and have dedicated the past decade to spreading the word. First in the form of Meathead Films, with public screenings attracting more people than Warren Miller. More recently they've expanded the stoke through apparel and accessories that skiers wear like badges of honor emblazoned with these three simple and now iconic words... SKI THE EAST. • For this collab ski we wanted to show some iconic east coast locations and skiing styles on the base, and also pay homage to skiing's eastern heritage with a life-like antique wood top graphic. We literally scanned Geoff's grandfather's old wooden skis to create this top graphic's life-like antique wood look digitally printed to look as real as the original looking ridiculously real and beautiful. • Our Allplay ski does it all turning powder, park, and all-mountain terrain into your personal playground.
