We were asked if there are any restricted tartans we wish we could get for our own personal kilt collections. There are a few different reasons a tartan may be considered restricted. • The designer intended it for use by a specific group • The designer is a business ands the tartan is part of their branding • The tartan is owned by a governmental agency • Occasionally all that is required to get the tartan is to write to the owner for permission.
