Rode: https://amzn.to/3W6MOND • Movo: https://amzn.to/3WcyDGS • Boya: https://amzn.to/3UrWqBk • It's a budget mic showdown! I've wanted to upgrade to a microphone for a while so I picked up the Rode VideoMicro, Movo VXR10, and BOYA BY-M1 to see which one sounded the best for my voice. • I chose these 3 microphones because they were really budget friendly options. The Rode VideoMicro is the cheapest shotgun microphone that Rode makes. The Movo VXR10 is one of their strongest competitors who offer a slightly cheaper option but still packs quite a punch. Finally, we're taking a look at the BOYA BY-M1. It's a really affordable lavalier microphone but it does require that you turn it on every time you use it. • I want to do a sound comparison with these 3 microphones with my voice. One thing I learned was that different mics sound different for different voices so there's no getting around trying it out and seeing which sounds the best for you. • The BOYA lapel mic was cheap but the sound definitely sounded a bit muffled. And because you have to turn it on every time, it added an extra step. I definitely recorded clips where I forgot to turn it on and had no sound which sucked. • The Movo microphone packed a good punch. It was affordable and my voice came across clearly and not muffled. • Going up head to head with the Movo was the Rode VideoMicro. It was $20 more expensive but sounded more flattering for my voice especially when I had headphones on. • 0:00 Intro • 0:44 Sound Test • 1:14 My Phrases • 1:39 Lapel vs Mini Shotgun • 2:38 Boya vs Rode • 4:00 Which one to keep • 4:38 Outro • #diTech
