This is the 2nd part of the restoration of the Mikuni BDST 38mm carburetors from my Yamaha FZR 1000. Pretty much every other Mikuni BDST is the same and the procedure is almost identical. • In this video, I'm not only showing how to put together the carburetors, but also how to synchronize them and how to adjust the pilot screws! • This will result in amazing engine response and fuel economy too! These adjustment methods can be used in other carburetors as well. • Pilot screw settings: • FZR 1000 '87-'89 • 2 1/2 turns out • FZR 1000 '90 onward • 3 turns out • Carburetor synchronizer tool I used: • https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/271706450468 • The jetting kit I used from Keyster: • https://www.motorcyclespareswarehouse... • Parts used from LiteTek : • https://litetek.co/Carb_Kit_Yamaha_FZ... • Follow me on Instagram: • @chris_sofotasios_ • Watch Part 1 here: •    • Mikuni BDST 38 Full restoration - Part 1   • 00:37 Assembling • 11:32 Checking the fuel level • 13:30 Synchronizing the carburetors • 19:15 Adjusting the pilot screws • 20:52 All done! • Other videos: • Yamaha FZR1000 Exup engine restoration: •    • FZR 1000 Exup Full engine restoration   • Yamaha FZR1000 Exup restoration: •    • FZR 1000 Exup '95 restoration   • Yamaha YZF750R: •    • Yamaha YZF 750R '95   • Yamaha XJR1200 '98 •    • The Yamaha XJR 1200 Project   • Chevrolet Camaro 3rd Generation: •    • Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z '89   • MG Midget MkIII: •    • MG Midget 1967 MkIII   • Technical videos: •    • Technical videos
