My style of chilli fish, neither too dry nor with too much gravy.This goes well with white rice and fried rice.This same recipe can be made with boneless chicken for chilli chicken. • Ingredients • 300 gm boneless seer fish, cleaned and washed • 1 tbsp cornflour • 1 tsp pepper powder • 1 tsp salt • Marinate the fish with the above ingredients, keep aside for 10 mins • 2 big onions, chopped into 1/2 inch cubes • 2 tbsp ginger minced finely • 2 tbsp garlic minced finely • 3 tbsp chilli tomato paste/chilli sauce • 1 tbsp soya sauce • 1 tbsp cornflour,mixed with 4 tbsp water • 5 green chillies,deseeded,cut lengthwise • 1/2 tbsp salt • 1 tsp brown sugar • 2 tbsp coconut oil • Spring onions chopped- to decorate(optional) • Preparation: • 1. Shallow fry the fish, keep it aside • 2. Heat the oil,add the ginger and garlic,fry till it's fragrant and lightly browned • 3. Add the onion,saute till translucent,then add the salt and chilli,cook for a minute • 4. Next add the chilli tomato paste,soya sauce, mix all ingredients together • 5. Add in the cornflour and mix well,then the sugar and last the fried fish • 6. Stir gently to coat the fish with the gravy,remove from the flame • 7.
