Buffalo Fire - Structure Fire - 426 Hertel Avenue • On December 11th, 2023 at 21:41hrs, Buffalo firefighters responded to multiple calls of a structure fire at the corner of Hertel Short Street in North Buffalo. On Arrival, Truck 13 reported fire showing from the #1 side attic. Minutes later, command requested an additional 2 pumpers and 1 truck to the scene. Within 30 minutes the fire was placed under control with heavy overhaul. The fire had started on the first floor and extended to the 2nd floor and attic. The building was vacant but under renovation. Damages were listed at $120K to the structure and $0 to the content. The cause is under investigation.
