Cobra Kai VS Karate Kid Isn’t Fair • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ • My Twitter~   / tylearn_   ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ • Cobra Kai has finished and now I can finally settle the debate that most of you have been arguing in my comments for years. That debate being the cobra kai generation fighters vs the karate kid generation. The old vs the new, how do they compare to one another. My pov on this topic has changed a lot if you've been on the channel before, i used to argue karate kid was much more powerful, then changed my mind and said the cobra fighters creep karate kid 3 by the time of season 1, and now im just kinda in a middle ground because the series has finished and i've noticed that there are many comparisons with the old and new generation. And so I'll go season by season, and from there we can determine if the old generation has been surpassed. Or if these guys are still a karate kid 1 johnny victim who for some reason everyone thinks is top1. Anywho, in season 1 i think it's pretty clear that Miguel Robby should both be above Karate Kid 1 Johnny and Daniel. Not only is Miguel able to utilize the same kick that knocked Johnny out , but he's able to also fight Robby who has not only the knowledge of what Daniel learned in karate kid 1, but even access to techniques that not even Daniel by the end of the trilogy, are able to do. I dont think because of this he can just beat Daniel from the end of KK3, as Daniel pretty much has access to other techniques that Robby has yet to learn, like the drum technique. But I think Season 1 Cobra Kai for the most part should be able to defeat at least the first movie versions of the character, with MAYBE Johnny being a little bit stronger than Miguel because he was conflicted in Karate Kid 1 and was not at his peak. It was so bad he got rage baited into a crane kick. It's tough to say if Miguel could beat that peak version of Johnny, but I do believe he can at least defeat Johnny and Daniel from karate kid 1. I do think Hawk and Aisha as well should at least be able to contend with them, considering Aisha went 2-2 with Xander, and Hawk was able to score a point on Robby. I can't say they close the gap that Karate Kid 2 makes, where we see the same technique that Daniel used in the last movie, being completely ineffective. Chozen and Mike Barnes make the gap much wider as Daniel progressively gets stronger throughout the films and has to end up strong enough to contend with these fighters. I do think by season 2 though the gap is probably enough to say the top tier kids surpass Karate Kid 1 completely, but probably not Chozen Mike or Daniel in the 2nd and 3rd movie. I honestly believe they don't really start contending with those characters until Season 4. As we see in season 5, Tory who can at least fight the top tiers, is just managing to shatter stone, while Chozen and Mike are doing this with ease, and these are the same attacks Daniel is withstanding. So I do think the Cobra Kids in at least power aren't beating Chozen and Mike, but as we’ve seen in Cobra, with your skills and confidence, you can manage to close the gap in power to defeat your opponent. I believe in a tournament fight, these kids should be able to outskill Chozen Mike and Daniel by the end of the trilogy, but they probably would lose in a normal street setting, due to the gap in power. There is also the factor of Mike Barnes after KK3 never training again, and somehow still being strong enough to be relative with Chozen. People use this to suggest Mike is closer to the adults in his prime, therefore he's stronger than the kids, but i think this argument is a little disingenuous. You’d have to pretty much assert that Mike Barnes in KK3 and the one in Cobra Kai, are relative. Which would mean that Daniel as an adult would have to be relative to his younger self as well, since the main 4 karate kids are relative as adults. We can now move into season 6, where the kids are not only better than ever, but are about to face their greatest challenge yet, the sekai taikai. Mike Barnes, while preparing the top 6 students, said all he ever wanted was to be in the sekai taikai, but he blew his chance. Which means Part 1 and 2 of the season 6 crew, more than likely have not surpassed Mike and Daniel yet, but they’re pretty much right next to them due to everything they’ve learned up to this point. And I think this gap that they closed on Axel would mean that they're not only the best in the world, but now they're definitely above the old generation. I'd say the strongest argument you can make for daniel and mike is that they would be on the level of the season 6 crew going into the tournament, but i doubt they are on the level of the main 5 students. • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ • #cobrakai #karatekid #netflix
