Convergent thinking is a term coined by Joy Paul Guilford as the opposite of divergent thinking. It generally means the ability to give the correct answer to questions that do not require novel ideas, for instance on standardized multiple-choice tests for intelligence. • Divergent thinking is a thought process used to generate creative ideas by exploring many possible solutions. It typically occurs in a spontaneous, free-flowing, non-linear manner, such that many ideas are generated in an emergent cognitive fashion. Many possible solutions are explored in a short amount of time, and unexpected connections are drawn. • TIMESTAMPS: • 0:00 Introduction • 0:40 Convergent Thinking • 1:57 Divergent Thinking • 2:55 End screen • ✅ ABOUT • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ • • The goal of this channel is to promote learning. • • All topics are covered ranging from simple to complex. • • Subscribe if you like to learn new things. • ✅ SOURCES • ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ • https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Converg... • https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diverge...
