Police are called to a cemetery and discover a trail of flowers leading to an open grave. They look down and see an iron stake, in the shape of a cross, has been driven through the lid of a coffin and into the heart of the corpse inside. Highgate Cemetery already had a history of weird stuff going on. Occult rituals, ghost sightings, voices calling out from nowhere… and multiple reports of a 7 foot tall floating figure that watched people. • David Farrant was a local member of the British Occult Society. He decided to spend a night in the graveyard to see what was really going on. He suspected he would catch a prankster, but instead he says he came face to face with the HIGHGATE VAMPIRE. He described the being as freakishly tall with glowing hypnotic eyes. He said the air turned icy cold around him as ran from the creature. • Self-proclaimed vampire hunter, Sean Manchester, also investigated the sightings. He claimed that the creature was a King Vampire that had been revived through a Satanic ritual. • Both of the men feuded publicly, and both claimed that they would be the one to slay the vampire. David Farrant was arrested in 1970 for trespassing in Highgate Cemetery. He was holding a crucifix and a wooden stake at the time of his arrest. Shortly after, the body of a headless woman was found in Highgate in 1971. She was badly burned and a stake had been driven through her heart. In 1983, Sean Manchester publicly claimed to have killed the Highgate Vampire in 1983, by staking, beheading, and burning its body. • Was there something undead lurking in Highgate Cemetery?
