Exploring Sleepy Hollow A Great Fall and Halloween Themed Day Trip from NYC

I take a Metro-North train from New York City to spend a day in Sleepy Hollow, NY. The small town was made famous by author Washington Irving’s story of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” I first check out the historic Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse. Then I see the Old Dutch Church. Next, I explore the beautiful Sleepy Hollow Cemetery where Washington Irving is buried along with other notable individuals such as the Rockefellers and Andrew Carnegie. I also check out the famous Headless Horseman Bridge.
