Saturday Thunder race #2 at the @corvettemuseum racetrack in Bowling Green KY. With the 2024 ‪@nasagreatlakes6328‬ Regional Championships clinched for all three American Iron classes (Cal Lemp at MAP Motorsports in AIX, Gabe Gutierrez at GANAR Racing in AI, and Robin Burnett at Burnett Racing in Spec Iron), race #2 was the chance to go out and ruin your season by wrecking your car, or to drive conservatively and bring your car home for the winter in one piece. Most guys seemingly did the latter, with one exception. The battle between Gabe Gutierrez in the #042 Mustang (@ganarracing1901) and David Luaces in the #37 Camaro (@cougdoc98) was fierce. “We had a great seat to watch the incredible pass Luaces made on the outside in turns 16 and 17,” said Cal Lemp, driver of the #3 MAP Data Systems Mustang.” • “We had a successful year, finishing as the 2024 AIX Regional Champion and the 2024 ‪@DRIVENASA‬ AIX National Runner-up,” Said Lemp. “We won ten races and finished second five times.
