In this intense scene from the seminal coming-of-age film The Breakfast Club, tensions rise between the rebellious John Bender (Judd Nelson) and the jock Andrew Clark (Emilio Estevez). When Andrew challenges Bender to a fight, Judd Nelson's character provokes him further, leading Emilio Estevez's Andrew to tackle Bender to the ground. Bender claims he doesn't want to fight, as he is certain he would hurt Andrew. However, when Andrew persists, Bender escalates the situation by pulling out a knife, revealing the depth of his troubled past and his willingness to resort to violence. • Subscribe for more Binge: https://tinyurl.com/bingesociety • Andrew, in a show of chivalry, demands that Bender leave Claire Standish (Molly Ringwald) alone. The confrontation is interrupted by the entrance of Carl the janitor (John Kapelos). In a moment of biting sarcasm, Judd Nelson's Bender asks Carl how Andrew can become a janitor, underscoring the social divide between the students and the school's working-class staff. Carl, in a moment of wisdom, shares that he has learned a great deal from his experiences working in a high school. This exchange highlights the film's themes of class differences, personal growth, and the valuable lessons that can be learned from those society often overlooks. • Don't miss your chance to watch this iconic 80s classic, starring Judd Nelson, Emilio Estevez, Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, and Ally Sheedy, when The Breakfast Club streams on Netflix starting June 1, 2024. • #bingesociety #thebreakfastclub #newonnetflix • Rent or buy The Breakfast Club here: https://amzn.to/2V11H2g • What’s the The Breakfast Club movie about? • On a Saturday morning, five students report for all-day detention : Claire (Molly Ringwald), a snobbish beauty; Brian (Michael Hall), a brainiac; Andrew (Emilio Estevez), a wrestler; John (Judd Nelson), a rebel; and Allison (Ally Sheedy), a shy girl with unusual behaviour. Assistant Principal Vernon assigns them an essay, in which each must describe who you think you are . John ignores the rules and riles up the other students, but they all eventually admire him after seeing how he interacts with abusive adults like Vernon. Then the students pass the time by talking, and gradually open up and discover they all have poor relationships with their parents. The students realize that, despite their differences, they face similar problems. Claire gives Allison a makeover, which sparks romantic interest from Andrew. Claire decides to break her pristine innocent appearance by kissing John. Although they suspect their new relationships will end along with their detention, they believe their mutual experiences will change the way they look at their peers. Brian completes the essay for everyone and as the students part ways, Allison and Andrew kiss, as do Claire and John. Vernon reads the essay, in which Brian states that Vernon has already judged who they are using stereotypes, and that Vernon is crazy if he thinks they'll tell him who they are. • Credits: © 1985 Universal Pictures • Like this video if you want to see more episodes and tell us what you thought in the comments below. • Don't forget to turn on notifications to catch our next videos! • Keep up with us on Facebook! • Binge Society | / bingesociety • Binge Society - Action | / binge.society.action • Binge Society - Comedy | / binge.society.comedy • Binge Society brings you the best of your favorite movies and TV shows!
