What 650 to 900 MMR Looks Like DBD Wraith Match Highlights

Dead by Daylight Wraith matches ranging from 650 to 900 SBMM rank (low MMR bracket). Demonstrating how new players qualitatively improve and how long it takes to progress from the low MMR bracket to the mid MMR bracket. • The MMR values shown in the video were estimated by tracking all matches from the start of my account using leaked data to convert match results to the internal rank numbers, as explained in a recent video by @TheOnlyChoy (   • New MMR Experiment PROVES Why it Shou...  ). I scaled my raw estimates slightly based on when I perceived the jump to the 900-1400 MMR bracket to have taken place, which was already within 20 points of the raw estimate. I concur with Choy that a simple estimation method is highly reliable -- the reported scaling based on match length and opponent MMR are minor effects that can be safely ignored. • The player hour estimates shown in the video are based on the subset of my Steam opponents who showed in-game hours on their profiles. I observed an extremely wide range of hours within the bracket, and even among players in the same match. I took the median observed value across the entire bracket (214.5 hours), and assumed that's long enough for a typical player to reach 900 MMR. The hours shown in the video were interpolated based on that assumption. They are not the literal number of hours played by any of the players in the match -- just a typical number of hours of someone playing at that MMR. My personal hours for each match are much less than the stated number. I reached 900 MMR in 90 hours, alternating playing killer and survivor. That is, I reached 900 MMR with Wraith in about 45 hours. • 00:00 650 MMR, 0 hours • 01:55 700 MMR, 42 hours • 04:40 800 MMR, 130 hours • 07:25 910 MMR, 227 hours
