THE VERDICT IS IN! • Case Background: On April 9th, 2018, Border Patrol Supervisor Ronald Anthony Burgos-Aviles made a 911 call at 11:20 AM to report finding the remains of a woman and child in Father Charles McNaboe Park, northwest Laredo, Texas, while he was on duty and in uniform. Within one hour, he was the primary suspect and taken into custody. The trial is taking placing in Webb County's 49th Judicial Circuit Court in Texas, with Judge Joe Lopez, DA Isidro Alanis, and Aviles' defense attorneys Eduardo Pena and William Boggs. The trial is expected to last three to four weeks.
