The standard preparation ‘dexxies’, compounded dexamphetamine, and a commercial long-acting version called Vyvanse, make up the family. • The treatment of choice at my Perth practice is Vyvanse because it is a long-acting, once-a-day treatment for ADHD. It's fully absorbed, lasts up to 14 hours, is not affected by stomach acidity and has few side effects.
