After a ridiculously long break from the franchise, I finally return to the world of Monogatari to discuss my favorite character and yours: Hanekawa Tsubasa! At its heart, Monogatari is about mental health--how its characters struggle with it, fight it, and ultimately have to live with it. Nekomonogatari sees Hanekawa at last forge a way forward by finding what she never had--a place to call home, both around herself and within herself.
