Delicious Rye Bread Recipe

Rye Bread • INGREDIENTS • 1 cup rye flour • 3 cups unbleached flour • 1 tsp instant yeast • 1 tsp caraway seeds • 2 tsp salt • 1 ½ cup water • INSTRUCTIONS • 1. Combine the flours, yeast, caraway seeds and salt. Whisk together to thoroughly combine. • 2. Mix in the water until there is no longer any dry flour, this will be a wet dough - don’t add additional flour! • 3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and allow it to rise 12-18 hours. • 4. Generously dust your clean working surface and hands with flour, and turn out the dough onto the floured surface. • 5. Shape into a dough ball, place it into a bowl that’s either well floured or has parchment paper in it. • 6. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for an hour or two. • 7. About 30 minutes before the rising time is finished, preheat the oven to 375 degrees and put in your Dutch oven to get it hot. • 8. After the rise, carefully remove the Dutch oven and transfer the dough to the pan then cover and put it back into the oven and bake for 30 minutes. • 9. Then remove the lid and bake for another 15 minutes. • 10.
