Fly Fishing Washingtons Yakima River in December Episode 56

In this show we use nymphs and streamers to catch and release beautifully spotted Rainbows. It is a cold day in December, so we are grateful just to get out and catch some fish. Early in the day it is all about San Juan Worm patterns, brown Pat's Rubber Legs and small nymphs like a red zebra midge. In the afternoon the fish start to chase an olive Wooly Bugger. As you can imagine, in such cold weather, we are not catching lots of fish, but all in all a great day getting out in Winter. We got flies and advice from the local Red's Fly Shop (https://www.redsflyshop.com/) south of Ellensburg and The Evening Hatch Yakima River Fly Shop and Guide Service (https://theeveninghatch.com/) in Ellensburg, Washington. • Fly Fishing with Ladin's primary purpose is to share fly fishing techniques and places to fly fish in the Western United States.
