How I fixed my homemade high voltage DC power supply, showing all steps. I first elminate the tripler, or Cockcroft-Walton voltage multiplier, as the problem, then I test the flyback transformer, followed by the resistors. I skip the capacitor and go straight to testing the transistors and find a bad one. After replacing it, the high voltage power supply works again. • Support RimstarOrg on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/user?u=680159 • Subscribe for new videos every week http://www.youtube.com/user/rimstaror... • Go to the main channel page here / rimstarorg • See also: • Star Trek Enterprise Model with Ion Propulsion added • • Star Trek Enterprise Model with Ion P... • How to Make 30kV High Voltage DC Power Supply with Flyback Cockcroft-Walton Multiplier Tripler • • How to Make 30kV High Voltage DC Powe... • How to Test Diodes and Transistors • Postponed • Follow behind-the-scenes on: • Twitter https://twitter.com/#!/RimStarz • Google+ https://plus.google.com/1163951251362... • Facebook / rimstarorg • http://rimstar.org • Music used: • Fixing my High Voltage Power Supply Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) • Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 • http://creativecommons.org/licenses/b... • ISRC: USUAN1100772 • Explosion sound effect: http://www.freesound.org licensed under the Creative Commons 0 License.
