Here, there is a brief introduction to students classified as SLD (specific learning disability). Some of the topics covered include the prevalence of the disability as it relates to the population in the united states of America. Various teaching tips for special education teachers and educators everywhere are offered in this lesson. Assistive technology tools and strategies for using those tools are also offered in the video. Students classified as specific learning disability have specific struggles that are tended to here. The other thirteen different categories of special education students are presented on the list to give some perspective on the how specific learning disability students are in relation to other students as well. This video is part of a special education playlist designed for both general education teachers and inclusion teachers to get a better understanding of their students, especially those with specific learning disabilities.
