Ever wondered how to install a mag extension on your factory OEM Glock Magazine for concealed carry? This is my How To: Glock Mag Extension install video! A magazine extension is essential for comfortable shooting with smaller pistols. If you have big hands like me, it is sometimes difficult to do this with the amount of material that they give you. So, they now make magazine extensions for Glock pistols. There are a TON of magazine extensions on the market. I don't have a ton of experience with them simply because I generally shoot my large frame glocks or 1911's. When I bought and built my first P80 G19, I was HOOKED! I have carried it ever since and have had to modify it just a little bit to ensure its comfortable at the range and during carry. Magazine extensions make the pistol more comfortable without sacrificing reliability. There are several options on the market now for them but I have about 6 G19 mags, so switching to a 17 didn't make sense. I would just extend the 19 mags and get more rounds out of them. • Stock magazine base plates are good, but an extended base plate allows for extra rounds and a more comfortable shooting experience. These are easy to install and add a certain personalized flair to your pistol. • Before you install a glock magazine base plate, you need to know that if your trying for a 10 round mag, there is a piece in there stopping that black nipple plate from being depressed so its much more difficult. • But installing a magazine base plate or taking a glock mag apart is simple and fun!
