So my jeep is ticking, and I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. Pretty sure it's not exhaust, lifters, electrical, camshaft position sensor, torque convertor bolts, flexplate, or the evap purge solenoid. • Update 5/7/13 • Might be a really loose timing chain. • I apologize for the poor video: • • timingchain • I'll update this when I get a new chain installed. Hopefully after 2 years and 20k miles I finally found the problem. • Update:7/15/13 • Should have updated this earlier. Dropped in a new timing chain, which ended up being much tighter - a very good thing. Unfortunately that was not the ticking problem, and it's still there louder than ever.
