The Celebration Gospel Choir performing the song from Handel's Messiah, A Soulful Celebration. This is a cover song from the award-winning CD by Mervyn Warren (from Take Six) et al, a Black Music Version of the oratory of Georg Friedrich Handel from 1741. The Original CD featured many well known R B artists like Al Jarreau, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Quincy Jones, Patti Austin, and many more, and won a Grammy in 1993. AFAIK, the Celebration Gospel Choir (http://www.celebration-choir.de) are the first to perform the whole work live. This is a Gospel version of the Hallelujah chorus everybody knows. The performance was filmed on Dec 13, 2008 at the Capitol in Mannheim, Germany. M.D. is Anne Westrich. This is an amateur video using the camera's microphone. Still, you get the idea.
