Azerbaijan to Unveil Global Standards for Sustainable Investment at COP29

Azerbaijan, hosting COP29, will launch global sustainable finance standards, developed in collaboration with 110 countries, to unify green investment principles. The standards are designed to simplify the issuance of green loans and enhance emission reduction efforts. Additionally, on Nov. 14, Azerbaijan’s Central Bank will announce its funding commitment to green projects through 2030, projected to align with the national loan portfolio, currently exceeding $15 billion.
