We usually plan the week in advance in terms of cooking. But now and then we spontaneously decide what we want to cook. That is why we almost always buy frozen salmon or freeze larger quantities ourselves. For this reason, I often sear the salmon in different ways, depending on my mood: • 1. I let the salmon thaw completely to room temperature, then I fry the salmon on each side for about 3-4 minutes over medium heat. • 2. I only let the salmon thaw so that it still lies down on the bottom of the pan completely with the fish skin.
