I take a close look at Sony's new SLT-A58; the interesting thing about this camera is that it replaces two of Sony's previous models. It is slightly above the SLT-A37 but slightly below the SLT-A57. In terms of sensor this camera sees an improvement over both previous models by offering a 20 megapixel APS-C sized sensor. Like all Sony models in this range the SLT-A58 features Sony's translucent mirror technology. This unique technology allows for faster continuous bursts and allow the SLT-A58 to retain fast auto focus in video as well as live view modes. • We will be taking a closer look at this camera's image quality in a future video update.
