Max Ajl will return to the show to discuss a piece he just released on Middle East Critique, with the title: Palestine and the Ends of Theory : https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/... • • We will discuss the inability of western theoretical frameworks to incorporate or address Hamas, the other Palestinian Resistance factions or the regional actors in the Axis of Resistance. We'll talk about the necessity of being able to engage with these forces in order to do serious academic work on the unfolding history in the region. We'll talk about genocide, apartheid, settler colonialism, counterinsurgency, national liberation and the importance of gaining clarity on what occurred during the proxy war in Syria as zionist and US forces turn their attention to Lebanon. We'll get into all of that and more. • • Max Ajl is a researcher with the Merian Center for Advanced Studies in the Maghreb, Tunisia and University of Ghent. He is the author of A People's Green New Deal, and he is the Associate Editor of the Agrarian South Journal.
