The NEW Yamaha DGX-670 is here to replace one of the most popular selling digital pianos of all time, the DGX-660. We don't have one here in the studio yet but we wanted to go over some of the features of the new model. First off, the DGX-670 has a beautifully redesigned body, with luxurious curves and wooden accents. There is a full-color LCD screen that makes navigating easier. The new Smart Chord feature lets you create rich harmonies with the accompaniment Styles using just a finger or two, and the Adaptive Style mode makes Style playing even more intuitive by anticipating which Style section to use based on the player’s dynamics and rhythmic complexity. The new Unison and Accent feature build on this style playing expressiveness by letting players trigger drum accents when playing harder, or by enabling a Unison mode so that the backing band follows the melody being played (think “I Feel Good” by James Brown or “Sir Duke” by Stevie Wonder).
