Mr. Garcia was born in Edinburg and had lived there all of his life. Gilberto was the founder of Los Dos Gilbertos, the leader and accordion player for the band. During his 45 year career as a musician, he and Los Dos Gilbertos were awarded with many distinguished musical awards, his last was being nominated for a Latin Grammy Award.
