The first release of this record was a limited edition, direct-to-disc recording. My copy is a later pressing, made from the analog 2-track master tape of the recording sessions. Although my copy is a later pressing, this record has amazing sound quality and is sought after as a reference disc to demonstrate high quality audio systems. I've been looking for a copy of this record for quite some time and came across one at a local record store for $15. The sleeve is a little beat up, but the record is in near mint condition. • This video is meant as a demnostration and critique of the vinyl media format, the VPI Scoutmaster turntable, Zyx R100H cartridge, and Audio Research PH5 tube phono preamp. No copyright infringement was expressed or implied. Please support the artist and purchase their music. • Equipment used: VPI Scoutmaster with JMW-9T arm, upgraded mini HR-X feet and 300rpm motor, Zyx R100H moving coil cartridge, Audio Research PH5 vacuum tube phono preamp, Presonus Inspire interface, and Wireworld Eclipse II interconnects. The cartridge was aligned using the VPI alignment jig and tracking force was set to 2.1g. • The video was edited and rendered with Adobe Premiere using the Window Media video 9 codec, 1920x1080 @ 12mbps and Windows Audio Media 9.2 Lossless codec - 100% quality, 96K / 24bit vbr. • Please feel free to leave a comment, question, or critique below.
