Riding a custom snowskate that uses a kids snowboard as the sub deck. The kids snowboard was cut to get the shape needed for the snowskate to work well. This setup can ride powder and groomed very well. This board has a much better Ollie than other snowskates. The Ollie ability of this board is largely due to the sub deck being made from a snowboard that has much more flex than most sub decks. • Top deck is an old school shaped Powell Peralta flight deck. Which I would highly recommend for using on a snowskate. The carbon fiber is very strong and water resistant and this shape has a width of nearly 10”. I’ll use this top deck for large sub decks like the buckshot and get a little better bite going hard turns on my edges. The little extra width makes me feel like I have more ability to engage the edge aggressively.
