How to Paint Aluminum Rims 400Ex Build

In this video I go into detail how I personally painted my 400ex rims! These things looks sweet now, I love the look of black out rims to me they look better than the shined up aluminum rims but that's just my opinion. • The first steps I did to achieve these awesome rims proceeds to be remove the rims! Then from there i washed the hell out of these things! I cleaned them as best I could. I scrubbed them with brush and some dish soap which seemed to get all the grime off. Next i use my pressure washer to push as much dirt and grime off as I could. The next step would be to sand your rim, or do what i did and get some steel wool and just scrub them down with that. Now rinse them down again and let them dry off. Finally you can start adding some paint! I did two coats of the self etching primer than did 4 or 5 coats of the rustoleum black spray paint. • If you noticed these rims are not in the best shape, a few of them are bent and all of them are chipped and scuffed. So that is why i opted to go with rattle cans that way if they get chipped i can just hit them with a few sprays and cover up the chips. • I now have members!
