I went with the story of Clary and Jace having issues in their relationship which is reflected in later episodes of season one. I wanted to portray the vibe of Jace always being there for Clary but despite what he has promised, he has been separated from her to protect her overall. I then tried to focus on Clary feeling regret and guilt; as if she was the reason why he had to go when in the end he only did it to protect her. • - - - - • Okay so first of all let me say HOW MUCH SHADOWHUNTERS AND CLACE HAVE TAKEN OVER MY L I F E uwu. I recently finished season one and I cried at the thought of needing wait till January next year :((...Then as I'm tryhard Clace trash, I was close to crying editing this like holy moly. I'm not even joking, I had to take breaks editing from it cause I was just feeling so heartbroken doing this kind of an edit to Clace.
