DIY Power Feed for Milling Machine

Watch me as I make my own power feed for my warco GH milling machine, in part 1 of this 2 part video series. • Free drawings are available to download at: www.mr-mechanical.co.uk • Materials used: • 100 x 50mm alloy box section • 1no. alloy pulley - 40 Tooth - Link: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53... • 1no. alloy pulley - 20 Tooth - Link: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53... • 1no. belt. 91 tooth Link: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53... • Nema 34 stepper motor • M8 cap head screws • M6 cap head screws • M5 cap head screws • Process followed: • The existing hub from the end of the lead screw was turned down to allow space for the new alloy pulley, and the hub was removed from the pulley using the the lathe. The two parts were fixed together with four m5 screws. • The alloy box section was machine with the various holes required for the pulleys, lead screw and fixings using end mills and drills / tapps and the radius function on my DRO. • In part 2 of the video series we'll be wiring up the stepper motor and controls! • Camera Used: https://amzn.to/2Tjlt8i • • Thanks for watching!
