#lastofthemohicans #historymoviereviews • The Last of the Mohicans is a film based on James Fenimore Cooper's 1826 novel of the same name. The Last of the Mohicans detailed Nathaniel Hawkeye Poe, his Mohican brother Uncas, and his Mohican father Chingachgook and their quest to escort the two daughters of British Colonel Munro to Fort William Henry. The story takes place in the middle of the French-Indian War (called the Seven Years War outside of North America). • This film may get some gritty details wrong, but captures the feel of the overall era nicely. • This is part of a co-review with Craig from NBS History.
