Here is a simple way to test the EGR Valve of Toyota Parado 1KD-FTV Engine. We Apply suction to one side of the valve by mouth while closing the other port with thumb or finger. After applying the vacuum by mouth we check that valve lifts off from its seat. And remains lifted until we release the vacuum. This thing ensures that there is no leak in the diaphram of EGR valve. Also in this way we can inspect the seat of EGR valve and clean it there by keep lifting the EGR valve from its seat.
