In today’s video, we show you how we had our Lewmar winches serviced by a sailor named TOM. You can order the Lewmar Maintenance Kit from Amazon - we used alternative grease brands for maintaining our winches. • Welcome to our Refit Project of an abandoned sailboat here in Malaysia. We are a husband and wife team currently based in the Royal Selangor Yacht Club and going through an extensive sailboat refit with a goal to start sailing by March 2021. We do not own this sailboat - but it is the boat we will learn everything on. (It's looking like April 2021) We know nothing about sailing or sailboats and are learning about sailboat maintenance, refits and sailing from those who own boats here. We’re not sure what sort of sailboat to buy and if we jumped straight to buying one without any experience or knowledge, we risk sinking our money into a boat that isn’t for us.
