http://www.sensing.net/safety - Pepperl+Fuchs' safety controller configuration software is demonstrated. In this example, a door-locking solenoid is configured. The door-locking solenoid is a key operated switch. The key can be captured and the safety device is a 'power to unlock' device. If no power is supplied to the solenoid, the key cannot be removed. An e-stop is also used as a general override for system shutdown.
